London Fashion Week Favourites

Now that LFW has finished it’s now time to move on to Milan, but before we do I have decided to put all my favourites into a blog post.

I was quite disappointed in LFW this year, I don’t think there was enough excitement surrounding it and therefore the collections that debuted didn’t really stand out. However, there were some gorgeous collections.

What an absolutely gorgeous collection by Julien Macdonald! The detail and intricacy is amazing, each dress has it’s own story to tell. The mixture of silver and black through out the collection brings a glamorous yet mysterious side to it. I want every piece of this collection!

London Fashion Week Day 1

On the first day of London Fashion Week there were only a few collections presenting but here are some of my favourite picks from 3 of the collections, Christopher Raeburn & Jasper Conran.

First up is Christopher Raeburn, the use of pattern fabrics will work great in the Spring Summer Seasons along with the use of light weight fabrics. I have a strong feeling the camo print is here to stay but lets hope its used in the right way! Below are my top four picks from the collection….

The next collection that I loved from day one was Jasper Conran. His collection used cute floaty fabrics with pastel effect prints. Pastel colours are becoming a strong trend for the summer seasons. Also the colour white is also going be a strong staple piece along with his use of collars.

Primark Haul July 2013

As its the last day of the month I thought I would update you all on my latest purchases from Primark. There are certain times when you walk into a Primark store and they can have everything that you wouldn’t thin you need but you actually do or there are times when they have nothing at all. And this time round Primark did not disappoint. So here are my latest purchases:

First on my list were this super cute slogan crop tops. The American theme prints are cute and with it being festival season would be perfect over a pair of cut away shorts and wellies!

“LA DREAMING” and “N.Y.C” Crop Tops £5.00 each.

Continuing with slogan tee’s I thought that the four t-shirts below were perfect for this every changing weather we are having here in London. Team with a pair of boyfriend, skinny, or high waisted jeans these t-shirts are are the perfect everyday wear.

“NEW YORK CITY CHIC” & “MONDAYS SUCK” Tees £6.00 each.

Next on the list were skirts. First up was this black jersey skirt with a fake leather peplum along the bottom. Shorter skirts with an added peplum on the bottom are a must hit going into the autumn/winter season, with Zara having added one to their new collection.

Black Peplum Skirt £8.00

Next was this bargain blue jersey pencil skirt that only cost £5!! Teamed with a blouse or an oversized t-shirt its the perfect essential for day to night glamour.

Blue Pencil Skirt £5.00

As we are currently amidst the festival season here in the UK I thought it would be the perfect opportunity to purchase some festival shorts. As I will be going to my FIRST fesitval!!! (note a hint of excitement) I was informed the shorts and wellies is the dress code and I thought these would be perfect with the gems and studs. Perfect with a tee and off you go to enjoy the large crowds!!

Denim Gem and Studded Shorts £12.00

Along with purchasing shorts, I also thought it would be clever to purchase a parka seeing as you can never predict rain or sun. Its perfectly lightweight and the handy thing is it folds away into one of the pockets!!

Green Parka £9.00

So that concludes my lovely trip to Primark. Let me know what you think and If you have any festival wearing suggestions!!
