Fashion month has reached it’s final destination: Paris.
It’s nearing the end of fashion month and with the beginning of some new creative directors at fashion houses such as Dior and Lanvin, what better way to kick off Paris Fashion Week. It has already been filled with some amazing pieces, read below to see who my top 6 brands from the first three days were:
Courrege’s SS17 collection has a biker sports luxe feel to it combined with the glamour appeal. The collection contains some really strong pieces, my favourite has to be the black patent and mesh combined body with the matching boots!
Bouchra Jarrar’s debut collection as the new creative director for Lanvin certainly did not disappoint. I love the mix of androgyny and femininity with the power jackets and sheer sexy floaty skirts and dresses. She has created such a beautiful collection for Lanvin.
The Dries Van Noten collection was a summer dream with a dark side with the water colour splatter flower print on a black backdrop was a strong narrative throughout. As was the drop of the dark yellow-green mixed in amongst the pieces. My favourite has to be the last one, the over sized cropped sleeve jumper and lace skirt combo.
How amazing is this collection?!?! Chloe you have done it again, in true Chloe style. It’s relaxed and easy with the bohemian element and the sophisticated elements that suitable for the city, that makes me want every piece! The colour palette is really strong from pastels and nudes to monochrome and bold and bright. Clare Wright Keller, I applaud you, thank you for creating such a gorgeous collection!
The Guy Laroche collection is an absolute dream! The asymmetric elements in the skirts and the sheer fabric use in the outerwear work really well! The element of metallic is really strong as well and I have to admit that I kinda love it!
