MFW Favourites Part 1

Fashion month continues and next on the calender is Milan Fashion Week! And as ever some very gorgeous collections have been created adding to the ever growing SS17 trend predictions. There have been some lovely collections by some of my favourite Italian Brands and some have let me down (Roberto Cavalli, to name one) but overall the italian fashion week is as creative as ever. Read below to see the top 6 I picked as the first part to my Fashion Week Favourites Series:

Gucci has created a ultimate collection that pays homage to the 70’s. From the pink runway to the accessories including over sized sunglasses. I love the use of full length silhouettes in the form of tulle formal gowns that somehow shout Molly Goddard at the same time as being delicate with the entricate applique.

NO. 21

No.21 have created a cleverly gorgeous collection with the layering of trims and use of delicate fabrics. The monotone colour palette may not be summer appropriate but with the combination of light fabrics and pops of navy blue and bright yellow, it makes the collection stand out.

Alberta Ferretti’s collection reminds me of the dancing girl emoji with the flaminco-style silhouettes. Love this colour palette and the spanish element in the embroidery. It’s a very sexy collection for SS17.

Karl Lagerfeld has done it again! Is there anything he can’t do?! The Fendi Collection is a pastel heaven! The use of a light fabrics with delicate printing and embroidery is dreamy, it makes this collection instantly girly – Can I have piece please?!

Max Mara has created a tropical x sports luxe wonderland and it works amazingly well. I really love the palm tree print mixed with blocks of green, orange and black within the whole collection.

I am in love with this Emilio Pucci Collection!! The vibrancy of the collection mixed with a sports element makes it different especially with the waved print in the latter of the collection. But my favourite has to be the dresses in the first part of the collection!

Who have been your favourites so far at MFW? Let me know in the comments!
